October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Two and a half years later, my sister just older than me was also diagnosed with breast cancer. I’m happy to report that we are both doing great. A few years ago she and I came up with the idea to hold a charity ball to raise money for other people dealing with cancer and the SparkLee Sisters Charity Ball was born. I mean, who doesn’t love an excuse to get dressed up and pay it forward at the same time??? That 10 year mark is KIND OF A BIG DEAL to me. That being said, our goal at this years SparkLee Sisters Charity Ball is to raise $10,000. I know we can do it!!
